As an Insights Engineer, you will work in an international environment and support the company by carrying out the benchmarking, reverse engineering & value engineering studies entrusted to you (Value analysis, Value Engineering, Comparative cost analysis, Cost optimization as well as carbon footprint optimization, modeling & improvement of manufacturing processes).

You are responsible for the day-to-day 360° Insights activities and studies. You are aggregating profound insights, conclusions & recommendations for our clients based on technical data, performance measurements, functional analysis, cost / carbon footprint evaluations, your curiosity & quick understanding of industrial markets. You follow up and report on your activity to your manager. You organize the delivery of your study according to the clients’ expectations.  You ensure that you have the necessary skills to deliver on time and with the expected quality. You ensure a technical watch and follow the training to maintain your skills at an optimal efficiency. You are a source of proposals to improve the overall results of production.

Expected knowledge and role

The role will focus on:

  • Analyzing products based on technical, performance & cost data
  • Creating Insights & findings for our 360° Insights program
  • Compliance with deliverables and milestones
  • Present findings to our clients

Your responsibilities are:

  • Carry out Insights studies: planning, quality, meeting deadlines, etc.
  • Analyze input data, identify materials and manufacturing processes, evaluate them using internal tools and methodologies
  • Understand and explain product operation (system, subsystem, component, function, etc.).
  • Identify and recommend ways to optimize a system from technical, commercial or performance perspective
  • Conduct cost/performance benchmarking and value analysis studies
  • Write study reports according to required quality standards
  • Present results and ensure client satisfaction
  • Write and update technical content / Improve internal tools and templates

Qualifications & interpersonal skills

  • University degree, e.g. in Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Applied and Engineering Physics
  • High interest in understanding technical principles & implementations in Electronics or Mechanics
  • Strong analytical skills, communication & quick perception
  • Open personality, self-confidence & technical curiosity
  • Not mandatory: first experience in Cost, Value or Technical Engineering
